Continuing to take photographs

Shooting photos of things you like the way you like.

Continuing taking photographs

I began taking photos when I became a university student.
I developed a faint affinity for photography when I was in junior high school, after a teacher gave me the opportunity to take photos. In high school during university entrance exams, this vague interest returned, and I entered the Department of Photography, College of Art, Nihon University.

Though I knew very little about photography, entering a university photography program brought me in contact with many helpful people and was an opportunity to learn a lot.
When I was at university, I realized that the most important thing is perseverance in taking photos. Though one thinks that its as easy as that and that it is obvious, in reality, it is not so easy to do.

Perseverance in photography

Though it is basically a question of always having the camera with you and just pressing the shutter, continuing shooting photographs is a matter of having the daily attitude of taking the things you like the way you like.

Being able to take the people, scenery, spaces, atmosphere, etc, you want with your favorite camera and at the time of your choosing is the beauty of photography, and is its true essence.

Perseverance in photography

The photos I am posting here are from one of the works I did at my university, “At the oceanside.”

Perseverance in photography

To me the space called the ocean is a very special, limitless, and ineffably grandiose entity where people go to wile the time away.

This work was the product of me fully facing this gentle yet magnificent entity and snapping the shutter.

I want to keep taking photos.
My favorite place at my preferred moment.
