The encounter in photography.

In pursuit of light and color.

In this 3rd installment, I’ll touch upon the theme of the first article “Continuing taking photographs”, and then talk about the things I take photos of.

Momentary light, people around you, things around you.
Each could only have been encountered in the special moment of the present.
Slinging a camera around your neck, getting outside. Then when you feel that brush with destiny, press the shutter. For me the moment of taking a photo is a special encounter.

The encounter in photography

I pursue light and color in my photography. It’s not the moment by moment that matters, but the random encounter. It is preserving the chance encounter that motivates me to keep shooting.

The encounter in photography.

The photos I’m showcasing feature chance encounters with light and color in daily life.

The encounter in photography.

The photos are not individually planned, but are the product of chance, an opportunity that happens only once.

The encounter in photography.

Extracting the color and light from the moment is the beauty of photography.

The encounter in photography.

I could never let go of my camera. That’s because the colors and light that I encounter by chance are once in a lifetime instances.
